Highlands · A’ Ghàidhealtachd
Sure footing, the length of the Highlands.
Independent, UKAS-accredited slip testing from Inverness to Skye to the far north — grip measured wet and dry, with a report you can rely on. However remote the site, we travel to it.
The case for it
Why grip matters
Grip is invisible, and it fades quietly as floors wear, weather comes indoors and cleaning routines drift. A test puts a clear figure against it — long before anyone finds the problem the hard way. The HSE is blunt about the cost: slips and trips are the leading cause of serious injury at work.

How a visit goes
From booking to report
We come to you
Anywhere in the region, at a time that suits — out of hours where that keeps you open.
We measure it
Wet and dry, with the pendulum and, where it matters, surface roughness.
You receive proof
A clear, accredited report an insurer, the HSE or the Care Inspectorate will accept.
Who’s responsible
The duty is plain: if people use your floors, you must keep them safe and be able to show you have checked. That comes from the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Workplace Regulations, which apply right across Scotland. In care settings, the Care Inspectorate expects slip risk to be properly assessed and managed. A measured value is the proof.
Independent, and proudly so
We are entirely independent — we lay no flooring, sell no coatings and take no commission from anyone — so the figure we give you is simply the figure. It comes from the same UKAS-accredited laboratory that has tested floors for Amazon, Gatwick, British Airways and TUI, and which examines more than 300 flooring products a year.

Have your floors tested
Send the surface, a rough area in square metres and where you are in the Highlands, and a fixed, no-obligation quote returns — usually the same working day. Remote sites are no obstacle, and we’re glad to test out of hours.
Independent and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited (UKAS Testing Laboratory No. 7933). We test floors; we do not sell flooring or treatments.
